Commission & Delivery
Every IVspiration Art work is created or selected individually.
For this reason, commissions, payment arrangements, framing and delivery are discussed directly with each client rather than processed through a standard online checkout.
Commission Process
A bespoke commission begins with a conversation.
Depending on the work, we may discuss the intended subject, photographs or references, dimensions, colour palette, interior in which the artwork will live, framing and presentation, desired completion date and other individual requirements.
A preliminary concept or sketch and the principal visual direction are agreed before creation begins.
Once these elements have been approved and the advance payment has been received, work on the commission can begin.
Production Time
Every piece is created entirely by hand, thread by thread.
Production time therefore varies according to the scale and complexity of the artwork as well as the studio’s existing commission schedule.
An estimated timeframe will always be discussed before the commission is confirmed.
Priority commissions may occasionally be possible and may be subject to different pricing.
Payment
Bespoke commissioned works generally require a 50% advance payment, with the remaining 50% due upon completion, according to the payment and delivery arrangement agreed with the client.
Existing completed artworks are generally paid in full before dispatch.
Payments may be made by bank transfer or another method expressly agreed in advance.
Payment instructions are provided privately.
Changes & Cancellations
The principal concept, reference image where applicable, colour direction, dimensions and framing are agreed before work begins.
Because every commissioned work is created individually by hand, changes cannot ordinarily be requested once production has begun.
If a commission is cancelled before work begins, the advance payment may be refunded.
Once creation has begun, the advance payment is non-refundable because time and materials have been committed to an artwork created specifically for the client.
Clearly personalised or made-to-order artworks are generally excluded from the standard EU 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance purchases. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
Delivery in Bulgaria
Artworks may be delivered within Bulgaria using Econt, Speedy, or another courier agreed with the client.
Delivery costs are paid by the client unless expressly included in the individual quotation.
International Delivery
IVspiration Art ships internationally.
For destinations within Europe and worldwide, DHL is generally preferred for valuable artworks, although another suitable courier may be agreed depending on the destination, dimensions and requirements of the shipment.
International shipping costs are paid by the client and are calculated individually according to destination, size, weight, insurance and selected delivery service.
Any applicable import duties, customs charges, local taxes or similar charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Insurance
Where appropriate, valuable artworks are dispatched with transport insurance based on the declared value of the artwork.
The exact courier, insurance arrangements and shipping method may be discussed with the client before dispatch.
Damage in Transit
Every artwork is packaged with care appropriate to its materials, dimensions and destination.
If an artwork appears to have been damaged during transportation, please photograph the package before opening it where possible, retain all packaging materials, document the damage to the artwork and contact IVspiration Art as soon as possible.
Prompt documentation is important for submitting a claim to the courier or insurer.
Where a valid transport damage claim is established, IVspiration Art will work with the client and courier to determine the appropriate solution, which may include restoration, replacement/re-creation where possible, or another remedy required by applicable law.
Because every artwork is created by hand, recreating a commissioned piece may require additional production time, potentially several weeks or months depending on its scale and complexity.
Returns
Personalised and made-to-order artworks cannot ordinarily be returned simply because the client has changed their mind, where the applicable legal exception for bespoke goods applies.
For completed, non-personalised works purchased by consumers at a distance, applicable statutory withdrawal rights will be respected.
Nothing in this policy limits rights relating to damaged, defective or non-conforming goods that cannot legally be excluded. EU consumer rules provide remedies for goods that are faulty or do not correspond to what was agreed.
